The Chuwi MiniBook is a new IndieGogo project from the Chinese OEM

For operators who want something even smaller and lighter than the conventional Ultrabook form factors of 11-inch and 13-inch. In a tiny 8-inch form size, the UMPC is known for its Lenovo Yoga-inspired 360-degree hinges, 16:10 1200p display, aluminum frame, and expandable storage.

With its respectable system speed, vivid 1080p touchscreen, and variety of connectors, the Chuwi MiniBook is a shockingly well-balanced and multifunctional netbook. It will take some time to get used to the new keyboard layout and the jittery mouse button.

The Chuwi MiniBook employs the same AU Optronics AUO17D8 controller as the difficult 8-inch Topjoy Falcon, as well as the likely equivalent panel. However, in an unexpected twist, the MiniBook's difference is measurable, and the display is substantially brighter than the Falcon, approaching the brightness of the iPad Air 2019.

Deep black levels, a clean glossy overlay, a dense PPI, and deep colors all combine to a visually outstanding experience for the price. The color space is large for its price range, at around 90% sRGB, which is more than most budget IPS panels, which only have 60 percent sRGB. In other words, colors can be nearly as rich and precise as flagship Ultrabooks that cost more than twice as much.

In multi-threaded performance, the CPU is around 35% and 77 percent quicker than the Microsoft Surface Go and LapBook Plus, respectively. Even the smallest performance benefits are appreciated because system responsiveness can be an issue for these low-power PCs, despite the fact that they are still slow in general.
